Rotary District

Rtn. J. Dhinesh Babu B.E (Civil), an active Rotarian since induction, was born in 1971, from a reputed business and philanthropic family in Ramanathapuram. His journey in Rotary started in the year 2000 by joining Rotary Club of Ramnad and became the Charted President of Rotary Club of East Coast Ramnad in the Year 2018. He has been actively serving the community as a Rotarian for the past 25 years.

He has attended a vast majority of District Conferences, Seminars, Training programs and other important events over the past 25 years of RID 3212. He has chaired many events and has attended Rotary International Convention held at Bangkok in 2012. He is a successful entrepreneur managing a Cinema theatre and a Restaurant in Ramanathapuram.

Started 2 Rotary Clubs, Rotary Club of Kilakarai & Rotary Club of Rameswaram in Rotary Non - Existent areas and also Inner Wheel Club of Ramnad during his First Presidential Period (2008-2009).
As Charter president of Rotary Club of East Coast Ramnad he motivated his members to contribute towards the Rotary Foundation and made it as an “All PHF Club”
He is a Level 2 ‘Major Donor’ with Contribution above 35,000 US Dollars towards The Rotary Foundation.
Received Outstanding President Award in the entire Rotary district 3212 during his first tenure as President (2008-09) for extending exemplary services in all the 5 Avenues of
He is the primary contact in ‘Global Grant Project (Number 1984333)’ for providing drinking water to 4 drought driven villages in Ramanathapuram District.
Conducted PETS & SETS for the Rotaractors for the first time in our Rotary District in 2017-2018.
He jointly donated “Jagan-Suresh Memorial Indoor Badminton Complex” to Ramnad District Sports Stadium along with his Mother & Brother
Joint Secretary – Tamil Nadu Theatre and Multiplex Owners Association, Tamil Nadu State
Conducted ‘Plastic Free Conference (SAARCHI) as Conference Chairman to reduce Environmental Pollution in January 2020
Recipient of ‘ Best Entrepreneur & Social Worker Award from Kamban Kazhakam, Ramanathapuram
Married to Past Assistant Governor Ramya Dhinesh, Radiologist, Charter President of Inner Wheel Club of Ramnad.
Father of 2 Sons, Elder son Aravinth Jagan a Rotarian and Younger Son Arunan Jegan a School Student. His entire family members are Paul Harris Fellows.
